Love or Vampire Lust?

Jul. 8th, 2009 | 06:11 pm
location: Bon Temps
mood: horny horny
music: Jace Everett - Bad Things

Granted, I will admit to being a fairly obsessive person when something catches my fancy, and it always happens, so it shouldn't be a big deal now, right? WRONG!
My holy, bloody( interesting choice of adjective), fucking Jesus of Nazareth, why? Why did they continue it? just to spur my lust once again, but I am so fucking ready for seconds...have been for a while now. Cliffhangers are not a girl's best friend, apparently neither are they friends of vampires.

Is it my obsession with fantasy?
My obsession with Vampires?
My Gluttony for punishment in the form of a captivating story, well developed characters and plot, romance, adventure, drama, passion, gore, horror, truth, satire, dialogue, deeper meaning, fun, Lafayette...?
It's most definitely my obsession for gorgeous, fuckable, larger than life men portrayed by Sex Gods in human flesh...Eric anyone? or would it be Bill? God, I can't fucking choose!
Is it the strong, yet distinctly human, female characters?
Is it the aura?
Is it the SEX?
The sceneries?
Definitely the cinematography, the way the scenes are conjured up, shot, and what Alan Ball and the rest of the crew decide to portray in them?

It was most definitely the ad campaigns!

For once they got it right! For once the show is way better than the book series... the book series was/is okay (quite frankly I haven't finished the last book), but the show is just marvelously crafted.... it is most noticeable when you can compare both of them, the books and show from a first hand perspective. Yes, that was a hint, take it...

Oh God (if you exist, which, yes I am and have for a long time now, put into question) forgive me for I have sinned......Obsession is not (or is it) my best color.

Now let's see how long it will last before somebody (or many bodies) come and fuck it over for me...like always!
Who will be the fucking bastard, Godless son of a Bitch (yes, this applies to females too) that's gonna perforate my cloud 9, and bring me down from my summer high? Bring it on...I'm bringing out the big guns this time...

Why? Why? must it HURT SO GOOD!
But it is just too much, and too good to pass up, and only getting better with every new episode of the new season.......In short I'm fucking transfixed, obsessed, and horny for more "TrueBlood."

The High Cost of Living

May. 19th, 2009 | 08:48 pm
mood: cynical cynical
music: Muse - Blackout

...and then there are times when I find myself pondering random, crazy ideas I never thought I could fathom. Well, apparently I can! Such is the idea of dropping everything and everyone; leaving it all behind to fade to dust, to white, nothing more than a memory, but alas! how humans are flawed and the path taken cannot be undone. So I wonder, is life really worth living...? and no, this is not some suicidal ramble from a disillusioned youth. More of questioning... I mean what's the point of working so hard when you know you will never surmount to anything. Is it really better (as they say) to have known love and lost than not loving at all. The price of losing such an illusion seems to high. I rather not have known at all because knowing and having lost seems too much of a price to pay. I don't want the constant longing and failed attempts to return to what was but will never be... the emptiness inside the heart, the breathe of life that instead of aiding you breath chokes you further.
Now I know why they call say the high cost of living, but am I willing to pay the price? Is anyone?

Book Signing (Night Before)

Apr. 5th, 2009 | 12:05 am
mood: ecstatic ecstatic
music: Simon and Garfunkel - The Sound of Silence

Just a quick post the day before an awesome event.

Books of Wonder is hosting, once again, awesome teen authors. This time around we get Cassandra Clare (Mortal Instruments series), Lisa McCann (Wake and Fade), and Beth Fantskey (Jessica's Guide to Dating the Darkside).
I'm glowing!! Tomorrow is going to be awesome and this time I will most definitely bring my camera. The only downside to all this happiness is the horrid science fair project due Monday and presentations on Tuesday, but all is find because Spring Break is less than one week away ( I believe it is now five days away) and that means more time to indulge in books and Asian music. Just some downtime because I'm burnt-out ( I blame it on being diagnosed with bronchitis) and to put off studying for SAT's. For now it is all, back tomorrow or the day after or next week, with updates from the book signing.

City of Glass

Mar. 28th, 2009 | 12:35 pm
mood: ecstatic ecstatic
music: the GazettE - Without a Trace

Wow, finished City of Glass by Cassandra Clare on Thursday, still glowing from the after effects, it was pretty darn awesome. Hate to bring it up again, but it was much, much better than the disappointment Breaking Dawn, but let's not go down that road again. Obviously there were some things that were...not so good, yet it still managed to keep me reading, unlike Breaking Dawn, which I stopped reading with about 200 pages left, it came to a point in which I didn't care anymore. I shouldn't compare it to the Twilight Saga anymore because everyone seems to be doing that these days. It was quite annoying looking up nooks to read next online and seeing "similar searches.....Twilight Saga....." seriously? it even came up for Richelle Mead's Succubus series, mind you, which part of Twilight had a succubus? Maybe the 200 pages I didn't finish? It seems every urban fantasy book, at least for teens, is being compared to Twilight. People let it go! it was awesome back in book one, when people were still sane, by book three the author lost it and it grew a ridiculous. I can only hope Meyer doesn't decide to make a sequel for "The Host" then she'll flop another great book of hers to try to make more money.

That aside......

Now I'm waiting for "Fragile Eternity" by Melissa Marr, "Once dead, Twice Shy" by Kim Harrison, "Strange Angels" by Lili Crow, "Sea Change" by Aimee Friedman and of course the three new releases, one for each of her series, the awesome-est  Richelle Mead, with "Succubus Heat," "Thorn Queen," and last but never least "Vampire Academy 4: Blood Promise." CAN'T WAIT.....

Books of Wonder - Book Signing Awesomeness

Nov. 25th, 2008 | 10:47 pm
location: Urban Fiction Goodness Land
mood: giddy giddy
music: Epik High (에픽하이) - Habit (습관)

So yeah back from the dead and hopefully here to stay. I'll start off by admitting that for my first book signing session i didn't freak out like a over zealous fan girl, but i also feel i missed major opportunities to discuss the books with the authors. On to the actual event. The way i found out about it was through Richelle Mead's blog on livejournal of-course, regardless she was my main attraction and i so desperately wanted to ask her about Shadow Kiss and if Dimitri....well yeah and i didn't i just said hi and expressed how she had "killed me" with the book. The truth of the matter is i couldn't bring myself to ask any of the authors for that matter about their stories, i actually want to suffer waiting for them it will make me appreaciate them more. But yeah, i got my Ironside and Shadow Kiss books signed and had the rest of the authors sign the flyer since i didn't have their books. Tamora Pierce was awefully enchanting and cool she and Holly Black had a good laugh out of Holly's attempt to write three novels at the same time and one being written in first person. The coolest part of it all was that not only were the authors mentioned there were present but also other random authors (okay not random). Scott Westerfeld, Libba Bray, Cassandra Clare, Maureen Johnson. I didn't think when i read their blogs that they actually hung out as "friends" or buddies in crime but apparently it is true! I am completely dazzled by the experience an i wish i could repeat it many times over.....the worst part of it all was not being able to thank authors like Richelle for their awesome stories because stories like hers as well as all the author's mentioned above make my day and make life a pleasure.....

Oh well too tired to keep rambling nonesense or deep meanings in YA novels but a wonderful experience it was!

P.S Cassandra Clare did say she was coming back as part of the panelist in March of 2009 for the release of City of Glass so hopefully this experinece does get to repeat itself. Hoooray!
